A Poor Soldier

The Poor Soldier

Once upon a time a poor soldier named Adam returned from war. It was a scorching hot day in the city of San Francisco and Adam wanted to change his life.

He then had a light bulb. He wanted to become a clown. Adam was a cheerful person. His personality was bright and he liked to joke around.

So the next minute Adam was at a circus applying for a job. The manager interviewed him and immediately exclaimed “You’ve got the talent!!” And in a blink of an eye he was on stage performing his best. The audience loved him and admired him.

Years past and he was famous all around the world known as Adam the Amazing. He had great humour and brilliant skills with animals and was the greatest performer ever all until the big mistake…

The End!

A Poor Soldier

A poor soldier

Once upon a time a poor soldier came back from war, but the only problem was that his parents wouldn’t let him in. he shouted and shouted. All they said was “GO AWAY STRANGER” but the boy didn’t really understand so he went out to the garden and slept there for the night. While he lay in the green grass he started thinking about all the tasks he did in the war. He had lost a great number of good friends during that time.

“CHUG, CHUG, CHUG, CHUG” went the sound of the lawn-mower. The boy had an early start to his day and had a few tricks up his sleeve. He was now going to try and convince his mum and dad that he was their son. He thought for a while that since he’d been in the war for 6 years the might have forgotten about him. Now it was up to him to try and get his mum and dad to recognise him.

Raindrops

Have you ever wondered how raindrops would feel if they had feelings? Well, if you haven't, this is the wrong story. I was born with 309 billion siblings. It was great. Ater a few hours we were apparently old enough to leave home. And guess what, our parents dropped us out of the sky. And just as I fell, I heard them say, "Did you give them the parachute?"
"Err, sure."
This was the end. My life was over.
"Huh!"
I landed on a plant. I stood there, watching my family hit the concrete and die.
Wait, what's happening? I going to fall. "Aah!"
Saved again, but by what?
Oh great, I fell into the ocean. Now I'm never going to see the Taj Mahal.
Wait, what's happening? I'm floating up, up and away. There, there they are - my parents. I'm home!
"Good to see you Raindrop 349. You just missed the fall. We just have to drop you now."
There you have it,. The miserable life of a raindrop and you poeple curse us.We keep you alive. We sacrifice our lives for you and your plants. So really, don't curse rain. If it doesn't rain, earth will be a wasteland. So remember, everything happens for a reason.

Science Road Show

Science roadshow

My favourite part of the Science Roadshow was when the man was looking for the pink balloon dog. He did everything just to get it. What I mean is, it looked like he destroyed or shoved everything in his way just to get the pink balloon dog!

I also liked it when they blew up the balloons filled with all the different types of gases. It lit up like a dynamite! They set fire to a ribbon that went up to the balloon and it blew up. It sent out shock waves and intensive heat and it blew up really loud!

Dorian Banester

This is Dorian Banester, aged 37. He has black velvet hair, a moustash as black as coal, and brilliant blue spectacles. He might look like a normal person but is he really? Yes, yes, he is. He lives in a house - okay, it's more of a mansion with his 6 children: devient Devarnya aged 10, talented Talia aged 8 chaotic Caden aged 8, thoughtful Thurishin aged 7, lovely Lavanya aged 11, and killer Keeran aged 4 and wives  Marge aged 37 and Richa aged 38. He works for a company called Z Tech. Z Tech makes phones and computers. Dorian writes the software they use and gets 60 percent of the income. If you think he is honest, kind of respectful and toleran,t then you're wrong. He has given Billions to charity but only so that if his secret gets out they might not think so badly of him. You're probably wondering what his secret is. If I told you, you would get nightmares and it would send shivers down your spine and more, so I won't tell you, but a word of advice: Don't get on his bad side - he will make your life a living nightmare and that is only a millionth compared to his secret.

My Unusual Pet

My unusual pet is a Man Eating Shark called Stella. She gets me in trouble at school and at home.
Once Stella ate my homework and I told my teacher, but she thought it was an excuse. She said, "You're a girl. Girls don't have man eating sharks." So I got a detention.
And at home she stays in my room and bangs against my wall, and my parents think I'm kicking the wall.

My Unusual Pet

My unusual pet is a rock named Rocko. He is a great pet. He doesn't do rude things on the carpet, he doesn't eat or drink, he doesn't speak and he likes to do nothing all day. He always has a smile and he has googly eyes. Rocko has never done anything except smile. I love to bring him to school and my friends love him. But my teacher, Mrs B, is scared of rocks for some random reason. Every time I bring him to school, she jumps on the roof!
Rocko is the best pet in the world.

The Rotorua Rail Mystery

The Rotorua Rail Mystery

In the bushes of Rotorua, embedded in the forest, is a stone memorial. People have always wondered why it was there and how it got there.

It all started when rail engineers Henry Henry and William Williams found a lush forest full of manuka trees near Rotorua. The two decided to make a railway line to the forest.

First, they had to negotiate about the route. Frank Franks’s idea was to extend the route of the PNGL (Palmerston North to Gisborne Line) to Rotorua. But that was too expensive. So the route that was chosen was won by NZR (New Zealand Rail) CEO Jaxon Jackson for a route going off the main trunk line at Hamilton and going to Rotorua at Morrinsville. However, on the construction of a viaduct, the work train fell off the bridge and into the forest below.

But how did it fall off?  Workers said that it ‘drove off,’ others believe it just blew off because they forgot to put on the brakes. One claimed he saw someone in the cab. He even took a picture for proof.

No one owned up to driving someone to suicide. It still remains a mystery, but it was believed to be Frank Franks, because his route wasn’t picked.

Once the train wreck was cleared, a memorial was built at the spot.
